Getting started

Open Chess in a browser with a supported Solana wallet. On mobile, use the wallet's built-in browser if your ordinary browser cannot find the wallet. Use the same Chess address and wallet when you come back.

Sign in

Choose Connect wallet and select the wallet you intend to use. Chess lists compatible Wallet Standard wallets and detected extensions including Phantom and Solflare. Select your account in that wallet, check the Chess site address in the login message, then approve the message signature. The first successful signature creates your Chess account. Sign-in proves you control that public address. Read and accept the dated Chess Terms and Privacy Policy before making a deposit or joining paid activity. A transfer has its own separate approval and network fee.

The wallet panel distinguishes what your wallet holds on Solana from what you hold in Chess. Your Chess account, session, balance and transfer history belong to this game. A deposit into Dust or Slot Machine stays in that game's custody.

Before a match

Create a mystery table or select ordinary chess. The default table fee is 1,000 RNNR. Choose Host pays to cover both seats, or Split for 500 RNNR each. Select Review my entry at the table to see your own fee, optional stake and available Chess balance. Holding at least 1,000,000 RNNR in the connected wallet at the finalized check waives your assigned fee. If your Chess balance is short, review the proposed deposit, approve it in your wallet, and return to the table after it finalizes. Both players accept before Chess charges for play.
